IN 1979 THE WORLD CHANGE FOR COUNTRY GROWN KAYLENE COUSINS, she embarked on a new career in Beauty Therapy that led her to London. It took one year of intense study and learning to complete the diploma, which gave her an in depth knowledge of the structure of the skin and how to care for it.
Kaylene returned home to Australia keen to put the skills and techniques she learnt into practise. She found employment at an Ella Bache salon in Perth city, and two years later bough the business and names it Kaylene’s Ella Bache.
With Kaylene’s commitment and passion for the industry, her business grew and gained an excellent reputation. In 1988 Skin Review Ella Bache opened in South Perth and continues to operate today. After a successful 34 years the iconic Kaylene’s Ella Bache closed mid 2015.
Over the course of Kaylene’s career she has received many awards personally and professional for the salons. In 2010 she was inducted into “The hall of Fame” at Ella Bache Awards held in Sydney. This award is given to those therapists that have the highest standing and respect among the Ella Bache community. Kaylene is an advocate for the brand as it has stood the test of time and delivers results for all skin care concerns. Treatments range from acne through to damaged skin.
Today Kaylene’s finger is still firmly on the pulse of the evolving industry and attributes her long and successful career to ongoing education. “My staff and I attend training courses and seminars to keep up to date and our knowledge fresh, one is “Never to Old to Learn”.
